When managers and workers perform self-service transactions, they can select the Save Attachments check box to save attachments to the self-service transactions and view them in the Oracle HRMS windows.
The Save Attachments check box on the Review page is hidden by default. Enterprises can decide whether to display the check box on the Review page using the Personalization feature. The item is called "Message Check Box: Save Attachments" and I would personalize this by clicking on the "Personalize Page" link at the top right of any review page (for example, say Absence Review page) > then clicking on "Complete View" radio button (rather than "Simple View") and then clicking on expand to see all the items.
Personalization can be done only at the Function level, depending on the functionality that supports personalization at the Function level.
The following table provides a list of Review pages of self-service HR functions where users can save the attachments to view them in Oracle HRMS windows:

Hi Sameer
ReplyDeleteI am having trouble associating the attachment in Self-Service Qualifications to the qualification record. When I setup the entity and PK details the attribute ID would be QualificationID but the system doesn't store the attachment against the qualification record, it shows the PK1 value as 0. Can you help at all?
Thanks
Michael

Hi Razaat,
DeleteDo you want to try and clear the cache via Functional Admin and see how it goes?
Thanks,
Sameer
Hi Sameer
DeleteI think I need to explain my situation in detail. I have made a custom Self Service function for SIT and displaying a specific structure, After user enters the information he also attach file on review page. This attachement is available throughout the approval process. After the final approval the SIT record can be display via Person Form--> SIT HRMS form but the attachment is not there, Even I have enabled the Save Checkbox at review page.
Thanks
Hi Razaat,
DeleteIs this working with the seeded SIT function?
Regards,
Sameer
I have the same situation , I enabled the save check box for SIT. and it did not appear in the PUI. interface
ReplyDeleteBug 10007270 : ATTACHMENTS FOR SS SIT NEED TO BE SAVED IN SPECIAL INFO FORM IN CORE
ReplyDeleteThanks for noting the bug number. I agree that this is a desirable enhancement request.
ReplyDeleteHi Sameer,
ReplyDeleteI can attach and save the documents from ESS but....
1. The sequence number is not getting changed....I've attached 8 documents different places but still the sequence for all of them is 1....???
2. Once I attach the documents from ESS, I cannot view them back. Is there a way to view the docs attached on Personal Information or Extra Information???
all the docs are attached under Miscellaneous category.
Thanks.
1. Sequence number expectation - you may have to log this one with Oracle.
Delete2. Is the expectation that you need to view the documents back via ESS? Or via Core Forms?
Hi Sameer. I've followed the steps in your related post to enable attachments for Qualifications on HR Core. I can not attach directly to the qualification record in HR Core. However if I attach from Self Service (using the save attachment) tick the document doesn't show on Hr Core.
ReplyDeleteApologies: I CAN attach directly to HR Core. But if I attach from Self Service then the document does not show in HR Core.
DeleteAssuming the attachment from self service isn't directly showing on Qualifications screen - can you check on the People --> Enter and Maintain screen if it show up there?
DeleteThank you
